Training
Course Outline
Course
Title: Biodiesel Production as a Community Enterprise
Location:
Capel Hendre Industrial Estate, Ammanford
Cost: £750 per organisation (VAT Exempt)
We aim to
tailor our courses according to participants' needs and can be
flexible in our approach, taking into consideration different
expectations, levels of prior knowledge and relevant experience.
The duration of the course may be 2 or 3 days,
depending on number of attendees. When only 1 organisation is attending, it should
be possible to complete the training in 2 days. With 2 or more
organisations, we expect to extend the training to 3 days – in order
to allow for extra questions, exchange of ideas and additional
general considerations.
We can cater for complete novices to seasoned
biodiesel producers and our aim is to be as co-operative as possible
in order to increase the likelihood of more small scale biodiesel
ventures to be set up.

It is quite a different matter – setting up a
biodiesel enterprise from making biodiesel in a pop bottle in your
garage! We will advise on all aspects of best practice in setting up
a sustainable enterprise for the production of biodiesel – so
there’s a lot of emphasis on legislation, financing, operational
logistics etc as well as lots of practical opportunities for
hands-on production of biodiesel and operation of a biodiesel plant.
During the
course there will be the opportunity to see / participate in
biodiesel production in progress. You will be
encouraged to discuss your own project and options for plant
design and construction according to participant's needs.
All we ask of you is to share our experience
and bring your enthusiasm!
